A perfect end product requires to have an advanced pre-print stage. It checks the data of our customers and prepares it for the print process. Our pre-print process includes:
- Type setting
- Color proofing
- CTP Data preparation
- Control of the digital print sheet
- Plate setting
- CIP4 data transfer for printing machines
Here are some tips that will help us to ensure your print product is optimal in place:
Please save your files as simple as possible. Delete unused colors, layers, paths, etc. Colored illustrations should preferably be saved as TIFF or EPS (please no JPG-compressed EPS files) in CMYK mode and with 300 dpi (120 pixels/cm) at 100% format size. Line scans require a resolution of 1200 dpi.
Make sure that all of the colours in the document are created in CMYK - unless you want to print with special colours!
Place the pages within a document as single pages, not as double pages or even individual documents. In any case, it is recommended to attach a binding colour digital proof to the order, with which we can control the colours and the form proof in advance.
Attention with colour gradients!
Gradients to white must not be too linear. Otherwise, there will be discontinuities or a rainbow effect within the gradient. Use the function "dither" in Photoshop or create a noise through the gradient.
